Manasseh Meets Praise

A 10 track reggae album (40m 23s) — released May 8th 2020 on Roots Garden Records

Praise is a classically trained violinist with a deep love of Reggae music. As a young man his musical experiences have been diverse from playing on Ravi Shankar and George Harrison's last album 'Chants Of India' to gigs with Gorillaz and being a member of The Clinic (Nathan 'Flutebox' Lee's former band). Back in 2006 he met Manasseh at a music festival and the two hit it off musically and together they began to write music, with Manasseh's heavy beats and unique style and Praise's deep flourishes of the violin bow together they have composed this classic and timeless album born of their love of Reggae music.

Nick Manasseh has been involved in Reggae music since the mid eighties, as a Sound System operator and radio DJ, and moved into production from around 1987. He plays many instruments, in particular bass and rhythm guitar, percussion and melodica. Nick has a studio in West London and as well as his productions for Roots Garden, he works on music for people all over the world- mixing, remixing and mastering.

'Manasseh meets Praise' is a compilation of pieces written over the years the two have worked together and it's an expression of the artistic fullfillment the two have found in their collaboration.

in my opinion one of the great rub-a-dub producers... all that you would expect, especially as it's on Roots Garden Records - David Rodigan BBC1Xtra

Nick Manasseh has been at the forefront of dropping baselines, setting up sounds all over the country for many years... Great producer of reggae music - Giles Peterson BBC Radio 6 Music
